MonsterVerse Gigan Redesign Concept Art

Gigan without a doubt is one of the most unique and interesting monsters in movie history especially 2004 Gigan. I have mix feelings about him being in the Monsterverse since he’s a cyborg and not a pure organic monster. While the idea of him being a mutated MUTO is interesting, that’s not who Gigan is and it immediately ruins his character and origin. Maybe Apex discovers Gigan’s corpse from the ancient battle between Godzilla and Ghidorah and they use some spare parts from MechaGodzilla to upgrade Gigan. That’s could be a way to have Gigan in the Monsterverse.

So for his redesign, there’s not much you can do without turning him into something that’s unrecognizable because the design is already perfect. I gave him raptor like legs because I’d like to think Gigan as a fast and agile fighter especially with his unique fighting style. Gigan would be the raptor of the Monsterverse and the fastest creature. I understand why many think he’d looks skinny but I made Gigan this way as an opposite to Godzilla. Godzilla is built like a tank while Gigan is built like a speed car. It’s also opportunity to showcase Gigan as an intelligent Titan knowing when to attack and retreat during battle. If Gigan were to make an appearance, this is how I would redesign him, and hopefully he doesn’t end up looking like a transformer.
