Titanus Scylla

This doesn’t have to be a redesign, maybe this could be a different variant of the species or perhaps a male counterpart? This was a pretty interesting project, but perhaps not my best work. Personally the original is already good, I do like how it looks like a bit of a lovecraftian monster, plus an interesting depiction of Scylla compared to other mythological depictions.

For my design, I tried to incorporate some sci-fi and lovecraftian elements into Scylla. There is some influence of the Tripods from War of the Worlds and the Thanopod from Love, Death and Robots. Her body and carapace is the only thing that’s different from the original especially around the face. Rather than making into a squid, her face is a mixture of various spiders and crabs. I also added extra eyes since she is a mix of crustacean and arachnid.
Like I said I was attempting to make Scylla look more monster and a bit alien like as if she was a Japanese kaiju.
