JiraSaru Design

Here’s the one monster that you guys kept on requesting and I thought I’d never had to touch haha, Zilla!

I’m not gonna talk about my thoughts on the movie since it’s not worth the energy and I’ve completely moved on from the controversy but I personally think it’s a cool monster design. It’s definitely a Kaiju design and way better than majority of the MonsterVerse designs.

First thing I did was change the name to JiraSaru which is in Japanese ZillaSaurus. For the overall design, I kept everything since it’s a cool design. The differences is that I wanted Zilla to be more bulky, dragon like and have a mood of an apex predator. My only nitpick of the original is that he’s just way too skinny. I want Zilla to look like he can also fight and defend from other monsters. So I gave him a larger head and thicker tail built for headbutt and bludgeoning. The tail also has some spikes also built for doing serious damage.

I was really inspired by the V Rex and Disney’s Carnotaurous which is why I wanted Zilla to be more bulky and fierce with a nasty attitude.
