Here he is, Feudal Japan Keizer Ghidorah. I forgot what place, but Keizer Ghidorah was definitely in my top 5 request for a redesign. I actually had way more fun with redesigning Keizer Ghidorah than Emperor Ghidorah mainly because the sculpt was more organic than sculpting the scales and this was much quicker since I didn’t have to start from scratch. The wings, tails and heads are from my Emperor Ghidorah sculpt but just redesigned and sculpted differently. The whole body itself was from a lion monster I design for a short film.

As always, staying true and loyal to the original design, I wanted Keizer Ghidorah to be more scary and menacing than Emperor Ghidorah while having that Japanese design look. The design needed to scream evil and scary. I redesigned him as a final boss monster like you would see in Final Fantasy or a Japanese RPG game.

Zombie or horror dragons don’t work for me personally, and it was really important that Keizer Ghidorah didn’t end up like a generic evil dragon, so I had to make him stand out and recognizable which I feel I achieved.

I actually do like Keizer Ghidorah on it’s own. He’s different and unique take for Ghidorah and would love to see him as a CGI monster because I think he has potential, maybe be more powerful than King Ghidorah. He’d definitely make a great villain for Godzilla and would love to see more of him in the future.
