Titanus Shinomura Concept Art

Here’s my take on Titanus Shinomura. After reading the backstory of this Titan, I gotta say Shinomura is one of the few interesting Titans next to Na Kika and the MUTO Prime. The rivalry between Godzilla and Shinomura is actually pretty cool since this monster was difficult for Godzilla to kill. I really wish we could’ve seen a live action for this backstory especially with Shinomura’s ability to shapeshift.

For design, I pretty much stayed close for the original as much as I can. Few changes I made was sliming Shinomura a bit to make it more of a sleek and agile flyer and more serpentine. It was also very important that Shinomura didn’t look too similar to Megaguirus since they’re silhouettes are almost identical which is why I didn’t give Shinomura claws. I also the made the wings more larger and a bit more organic. I wanted Shinomura to feel a bit more alien, mysterious and otherworldly so definitely some lovecraftian and Bloodborne inspiration. Some animals I used for the design were slugs, worms, dragonflies and some fish as well.

While the sculpt start of slow and a bit boring, it did got more fun over time especially when I added details and texture to the sculpt. Posing was my favorite and what made this sculpt look really good haha.
